Leander Lee Compton (1816 – 1898) married Alcie Damron in 1837 in Pike County, KY first found on the Russell County, VA tax list of 1835, lived most of his life in the Island Creek section of Pike County, KY, was chosen as guardian for Cena Compton during her marriage and Thomas Compton listed as father of Cena Compton in this marriage record, Lee also testified during the Widows Application for Pension that Thomas Compton’s widow Anna filed 3. James Compton (1817 – 1881) first found on the Russell County, VA tax list of 1838, then on the tax list of 1842 is referred to as “James Compton of Thomas” 4. Benjamin Wallace Compton (1821 – 1893) married Margaret Cecil in Tazewell County in 1842, found first on the Russell County, VA tax list of 1842, lived the rest of his life around Dismal Creek in present day Buchanan County as a neighbor of the above John Allen Compton, place of birth on his death certificate was noted to be Russell County, VA 5. William F Compton (1827 – 1904) married Mary Sword in Pike County, KY in 1851, first found on the Russell County, VA tax list of 1845 where he is referred to as “Wm Compton of Thomas”, William stated on his Civil War military pension application he was born and raised in Russell County, VA, that his nephew was John Compton, son of Lee Compton, who he served with, also stated on the application his brother in law was Henry Honaker, lived for most of his life in the Island Creek section of Pike County, KY next to Lee Compton then later moved to Meeker County, MN where he died

Frances Compton (1814 – 1897) married William Blair, lived in the Caney Creek area of Pike County, KY, her daughter Matilda Caroline Blair was the witness to the marriage of Thomas Compton to his second wife Anna Justice, was likely named after her proposed grandmother, Frances Herndon Compton 2. Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Compton (1820 - ?) had children with unknown man and passed the Compton name on to her children, Betsy and her children lived near Dismal Creek in Buchanan County, VA, her relationship to Thomas Compton was theorized because she was named as a sister to Benjamin Wallace Compton by Hannibal Compton, 3. Katherine Compton (1825 - ?) married William Ratliff in Pike County, KY in 1847, William Ratliff provided the burial clothes for Thomas Compton when he died 4. Mary Ann Compton (1826 – circa 1910) married Henry Honaker, the couple is found on the 1850 Russell County, VA census, the above William F Compton called Henry Honaker his brother in law, later lived in Kentucky then moved to Cabell County, WV where she died 5. Cena Compton (circa 1830 – 1913) married first James Sword in 1848 in Pike County, KY and named Thomas Compton as her father and the above Lee Compton as her guardian, Cena was listed as the witness for the marriage between William F Compton and Mary Sword, Cena later married William Casteel in Lawrence County, KY in 1865 where she would live the rest of her life
